The Sweet Life// Maggie Holmes Sunny Days

OMG ladies!  This layout has got to be one of my most recent favorites this year.  I love all my layouts but I simply love how this one turned out.  It was a labor of love to fussy cut out all the sea shells from a patterned paper from the Sunny Days collection by Maggie Holmes.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out two large circles from the sand beach and water beach patterned paper.  I wanted to use both and cutting circles out worked perfectly.

Once the circles were placed, I started arranging all the sea shells around to form a wreath.

Chip board elements were added around the wreath to add texture and dimension.

The photo I am scrapping is of me during my pregnancy with Valentina.  My sister took it while we walked along the beach.

I then added teal, pink and coral sequin around the wreath and some aqua thread behind the photo.  There are lovely little elements sprinkled throughout the layout.  I just love how this layout turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I have linked my process video below for your viewing pleasure.

Better Together// MH Sunny Days collections

Hello scrappy ladies!  I have a pink monochromatic layout for today using the Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection.  I picked this collection on Blitsy.com.  I fussy cut all the pink peonies out of one single patterned paper found in the pad.  I love fussy cutting at night once Valentina goes to bed.  I can watch other YouTube videos whiles I do this part.

The light pink background paper and the flourish pink boarder paper are all from the Sunny Days collections too.  Pink is one of my favorite colors anyways.

I am scrapping two fun photos taken with Snapchat filters on our faces while at the office.  Valentina never wants to smile for selfies.  lol.  When I started playing with the arrangement of the flowers, I had them horizontal, then in a diagonal, then in a wreath, I finally settled on two vertical columns.  It gave a space for the photos to be.

I popped one photo on pop dots and the other tucked underneath.  I added two pink dollies for added interest to the background.  And no layout is complete without some gold elements.  The butterfly and hearts are from the embossed gold sheet from the Sunny Days collection from Maggie Holmes.

Best Friends// Sunny Days by Maggie Holmes

Hello scrappin ladies!  I have a simple scrap lift from a fellow crafter.  It was the first layout I saw using the Sunny Days collection by Maggie Holmes and I definitely wanted to re create it for my album with a photo of Miguel and I.

I started out with fussy cutting out the beautiful florals in two patterned papers and the bright blue butterflies from another.

There are two main clusters in this layout, one around the photo and one in the right lower corner to balance out the layout. I pulled some pieces from my stash, like the dollie, vellum gold flowers and acetate leaves.

Once my clusters were adhered, its time to start adding the bling/sequins to the layout. I love adding a little more sparkle to my layouts. The gold glitter sequins and hexagons are from Hexa Glam. While the opal pinks are from Dragon's Tale.

The black and white bow is from an older Maggie Holmes collection and the heart charm is from Pick me Up by Paige Evans. I tied it off with some embroidery thread.

Wild Heart// Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Hey scrapping ladies!  Its been a joy to be featuring Spiegelmom Scraps beautiful sequin collections. Sequins just add a touch of bling to all layouts.  For this layout I used a cut file from Paige Evans called Simple Flower background from the Silhouette Design store and did some mixed media on it.  I used the Freezin Season sequin pack as well.

With the die cut still adhered to the cutting mat, I applied a thin layer of gesso and then a variety of spray mists from my stash.  I used Heidi Swapp Color Shines in Hot Pink, Pink, Salmon, Blush, Peach, Coral and Butter.  I started out with the pinks on the bottom, transition to the corals/ oranges and then to the yellow.  These three colors together are always my favorite.

The negative space of this die cut is also useable with all my color work on it.  You may see it on a future layout.  I played around with placement for awhile, scattered, vertical column, horizontal, circle around the photo...?  I could not decide at first.

I decided with a diagonal arrangement on a black and white striped background for some amazing contrast.

I started adhering my first layer down and then saved a few to use with some pop dots for dimension. I love adding dimension to my layouts lately.

I am scraping a photo of two girl friends and me at Valentina's first birthday party with our Frida headbands.  It was just a colorful party.

The chipboard pieces are from an old Dear Lizzy collection and my title is from Paige Evans.

Once everything was finalized my last step is adding in all my sequins to the centers of all the flowers and then more for added bling.  I love color matching my sequins usually to the area it is in.  Gold color shine splatters finish off my layout and a few tiny word stickers.  It is a fun fresh colorful layout and I hope you found some inspiration with me.  Till next layout, keep scrapping!
