Happy// ScrapbookingStore.com November Kit

Hello scrapbooking friends!  I have a beautiful fall layout for today using the November Scrapbookingstore.com kit.  It features the Authenque Bountiful collection and its gorgeous.  I was asked to do a live Facebook tutorial on their business page which was fun.  I am scrapping a photo from my maternity photo shoot we did last week when I was 37 weeks pregnant.

I used five sheets of patterned paper from the collection, numbers one, two, three, four and five.  I then used a scrap piece of paper to cut out my diamond shape to use as a template for my quilted background look.

I then angled them to have the diamond sit vertically.  I made sure to have about 3 of each patterned paper shown.  The rows with three I popped up with fun foam for added dimension and kept the rows with two flat.

I then went in with the stickers from both stickers sheets from the kit and added more details to my quilted background.  I added all the leaves and tiny word stickers and had some hang off the raised elements for interest on the layout.

My title was added from an American Crafts Thicker pack called Story that was in my stash.  It was gold chunky glitter letters which worked well for this layout.  I matted my photo with tissue paper and then the gold leaf patterned paper again.  I also decided to mat my entire layout with the blueish colored paper from the kit.

For the last details, I added Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold for splatters in the corners.  I cannot finish a layout without gold splatters.

Happy Halloween/ ScrapbookingStore.com Kit

Hello scrapbook friends!  I am the guest designer for the Scrapbookstore.com.  They have a fun and themed Halloween scrapbooking kit for October.  It is perfect to document your children's costumes or in my case, my fur babies costumes.  Next year shall be different, as I am pregnant with our first daughter and I am sure she will have a Halloween costume for me to photograph her in.  Wink wink.

The collection featured is My Minds Eye, Trick or Treat.  It features classic halloween associated colors like black, white, orange, purple and green.  I loved this horizontal tone on tone orange paper and added splatter in black and gunmetal to the center area.

The spider web cut file is from the Silhouette Design Studio website and I used the shiny solid black card stock included in the kit for the cut.  I love the shiny texture of the paper for the cut file.

I layered my photo of Zoe and Kobe with other paper featured in the kit and then started adding all the sticker details.  All the stickers are included in the kit as well.

Thank you for joining me.  ~Evi

Lovely Family// Clique Kit DT

Hello my scrapbook friends! How is everyone doing this month.  I am so thankful I was able to scrap before Hurricane Irma hit me here in Florida. It has been a stressful week and lack of power for three days.  I will never take for granted having power again. I am 29 weeks pregnant and it was difficult but I managed to stay strong.  I am using the Sundance September 2017 for this layout featuring the Creekside collection by American Crafts.

I started off with this gorgeous patterned paper named Gathering Flowers.  I did not want to cover too much of this paper up, nor did i want to fuzzy cut it out.  My next best idea was to cut out a large word and mat it white for the contrast.  My title became 'Family' a free cut file from Paper Issues.

I added some coral, beige and yellow mists along the center of my white card stock using the packaging technique.  These colors are enhanced due to my patterned paper.

I scrapped a photo of my family during my brother in laws surprise birthday party.  I printed it in black and white to not compete with the layout.

I ripped the paper above the flower design and the rest stayed white to balance the layout.   I added a few flower outline cut files for added embellishments and used the puffy stickers and tiny word stickers that were available in the kit.

Love the way this layout turned out.  Below is my process video to see it come together.

Washi Tape Challenge// Clique Kit DT

Hello Scrappy Friends! Its been an interesting day for me here in South Florida and having Hurricane Irma approaching soon.  We left yesterday to the west coast to avoid the direct hit to the east coast that was initially predicted and then the storm shifter course.  And now, it is approaching the west coast, so we left the west coast and drove back home to the east coast.  What an interesting 24 hours.  I'm 28 pregnant and we are just trying to keep my anxiety down and calm.

The challenge for this month is to use washi tape in a creative way.  I am using the washi tape that is featured in this months Sundance September kit.  Its a red and black buffalo plaid.

I have recreated this sort of layout in the past with the branding stripes of patterned papers.  So I used different thicknesses of the washi tape on a diagonal to create a plaid design.

I then used a cut file  for the circle background using the backside of the cut part patterned paper.  I love the contrast of the red and black with the hunter green color.  These are not normal colors I would use, so i wanted to make sure I used a cute photo of my boy Doxie to go with the masculine color scheme.

I then started selecting items in different containers on my desk.  Older pieces from different collections that simply worked with the layout.

The 'Awesome' part of my title are the puffy stickers from the Fancy Pants Dream Big collection that is also included her in this months kit.  The kraft alphas are from my stash as well.  Please play along on The Clique FB group with your use of washi tape so that we can inspire one another.

Dream Big// Clique Kits DT

Hello scrappy friends!  I have a 9x12 mixed media scrapbook layout for you.  I am using the Fancy Pants Dream Big collection featured in this months Clique Kit.  It has a dominant fall outdoor theme, and I live in Florida where its never fall, so I am challenged to use this kit for brighter lighter moments.  My sister was recently down from NJ and we always take tons of photos together, especially when I am 6+ months pregnant.

I started off with cutting off 3 inches of this 12x12 patterned paper to fit into my album.  This paper was named Field of Fancy.  I started off with applying gesso in a vertical position to dull down the background.  I then used the "packaging technique" to apply mists, Lindy Stamp Gang in Mad Matter Mint and Shimmerz Mists in Egg Noggin.

Using my ATG gun, I added 2 rows of crepe paper ruffles in a vertical position too.  For added detail, I also added a mint green sheer ribbon in the center as well.  This is where I positioned my photos over it.

I did a large embellishment cluster on the left side of my photos, included pieces from the Creekside collection and puffy stickers from Dream Big: Fancy Pants.  A few flair buttons in my stash add more interest and then I added enamel dots with gold texture gems from Faber Castel and Nuvo Dots in Banana Split.  Some light journaling finished off my layout.

Thank you for stopping by and linked below is my process video.

Mermaid Hair Dont Care// Clique Kits DT Instagram Share

Hello fellow memory keepers! Its our monthly Instagram share where we post our latest projects using that months kit.  You are able to hop along and find tons of amazing inspiration.  I love the Summer Lights collection by Pink Paislee that is featured in the August 2017 Clique Kit.  My sister recently came to visit and I have tons of photos to scrap.  She lives on the beach everyday when she is down from NJ, so its truly the only time I go to the beach.  I prefer to be poolside.  lol.

I started out with cutting the Palm Trees out on my Cameo, (file from Silhouette Design Store) on white AC card stock.  Then I surveyed all the patterned papers peaking through and this pink ombre striped paper won.

I did a little bit of mixed media with some Shimmerz mists in Egg Noggin, Color Shine mist in Gold and Dylusions mist in Sunshine.  I used the lighter yellow and gold around the palm trees and did an orange sunburst behind my photo.  A little messy, but most gets covered up anyways.  The joy of mixed media.

Then I took out the ephemera pack, the sequins, the flair buttons and glass sea shells bits from the kits and do a fun cluster of embellishments around the photo.  The holographic alphas from the kits are amazing, so I have to make another word on the page to use some again.

I added some light journalling to remember the moment and that finishes this 12x12 layout.  Process video for your enjoyment.

Electric Love Pocket Page// Clique Kits DT

Hello Scrappy Peeps!  I am still playing with my August 2017 Malibu Scrapbooking Clique Kit.  It features the Summer Lights collection by Pink Paislee.  Todays grouping of pictures is a family gathering for my MIL birthday and my good scrappy friend Katty also stopped by.

Is there other scrappers like me who keep a 12x12 scrapbook album going as well as a pocket page album?  I always scrap a 12x12 for the best photo and then print the rest of the day or event for my pocket page album.  I currently am using a Studio Calico 9x12 album that has 2016 and 2017 together since I seemed to have slipped in keeping up with the photo pages.

I live in Florida and I love taking the occasional photo of all the amazing palm trees that grow here. I managed to capture a good one and printed it for this spread.

I took a few photos with my doxies before we left and I could have printed one of the perfect ones, but I thought why not print the spontaneous one where Kobe licked me perfectly and Miguel caught the moment of my eyes closed and in the moment with my little man.  lol

The elements for this spread are from the cut apart page and the 6x12 sticker collection.  I am in love with the holographic features in this kit and love the summer vibe.

If I could hoard the rest of this kit I shall or I may kill the kit as we say.  Happy Scrapping ladies.

Beach Life 4 Ever// Clique Kits DT

Hello scrappy friends!  I have a fun summer vibes layout for you using the August 2017 Clique Kit.  The kit features the Summer Lights collection from Pink Paislee.  I am also using the scalloped 12x12 cut file available on the Clique Kit site.  I am scrapping a few photos of us walking on the beach after we painted out baby nursery light pink.  I am 22 weeks pregnant in these photos with our first baby.

Our challenge for this layout was to create a title using multiple alphas.  I cut out 'Beach Life' from paper 10 of the collection, '4ever' are holographic alphas included in the kit, 'in' was from Bella Blvd and 'florida' was an AC pack of alphas from my stash.  Challenge complete.

I first started off with the cut file and used my Ranger Distress Inks in Straw, Maralade, Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen bough with a blending tool.  I matted the cut file with the back side of Paper 10 of the collection which had a yellow ombre to a mint green color.

I did some light journaling in one of the scallops and did a few embellishment clusters using the ephemera pack.  I also added the lovely sequins included in the kit this month for added details to the layout.   I love the summer vibe this layout has and living in Florida its an obvious feel.

Friends Forever// The Clique Kits Blog Hop

Welcome and thank you for hopping along our monthly blog hop for the month of June 2017.  The wonderful scrapbook kits this month featured the Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart collection.  This collection was simply gorgeous and I had a hard time cutting into some of these beautiful patterned papers.

I used 1 inch stripes of each patterned paper in the kit ( in order to hoard the rest) and cut into 1 inch squares.  Be patient while cutting your squares as this step took some time to complete.

I am scrapping a beautiful photo taken during my trip to New York for Easter weekend.  I am originally from there and my oldest friends still live up there as well.  I've been friends with this young lady since 5th grade and she is now a mother of two twin boys who are 18 months.  I printed the photo in black and white in order to not compete with my busy background.

Before adhering these 1 inch squares down I chose a light pink solid piece of card stock from my stash that matched the pink in the collection.  I added splatters to the background using Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Navy as well as Pink.  I also when in with Liquitex white ink as well.  These three colors are featured in the collection.

My T square ruler came in handy in placing all the squares down in close to perfect rows.  I skipped a box from time to time for added interest to the layout.  The Clique kit came with the entire die cut ephemera pack and I used as many bits and pieces around the focal point.  The canvas star was also included and I loved the added texture it added and then I just added layers of die cuts so that your eye can travel around the page.
Thank you so much for joining our blog hop today.
