Super// Spiegelmom Scraps

Hello Scrappy Ladies! I have a fun black and white layout with a pop of color layout for today. I am using Funky New Year for the details to this layout and it compliments this layout perfectly.

I started out with using my Silhouette Cameo to cut out nested stars on black and white chevron patterned paper. I decided to use coral colored card stock, but I also auditioned turquoise, aqua and hot pink. The coral I just liked a bit more.

When I used all the stars with patterned paper, it was hard on the eyes, so I flipped some of the stars to show the solid white paper in the back and that helped settle the eyes a bit.

I book ended the layout with strips of the black and white paper on the left and right side. My photo is of a funny face Valentina made while at the park recently. Love all the faces of Valentina. I matted the photo on black paper and left the 90 degree corners. I have been using the corner rounder lately but with the stars I left them be.

Funky New Year was the sequin pack that worked perfectly with this layout. My added details were adding clusters of these sequins together all around the layout. A small pop of color was added with the title and a few other star elements from this thicker pack.

Love You// Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Hello Scrappin Ladies!  I simply love how this layout turned out.  It was a labor of love to fussy cut all the flowers from one patterned paper, but I wanted them all bunched together.  I used two patterned papers from the Maggie Holmes Willow Lane collection for this layout.

I cut up a the stripes up to arrange all along the bottom of the page to anchor the layout.  I was torn between two photos, I went with this photo of Zoe and Valentina together because it was a horizontal orientation.

Once I had my basic layout set, I could have left the white card stock alone and it would have been a beautiful layout.  But, you know me and my love for mixed media and playing with my art supplies... so that is what i did.

I did the 'packaging' technique with Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry and Marigold.  The pink and orange color compliment the flowers and the details in the stripes.

The title and dimensional stickers all came from the coordinating thicker pack for Willow Lane.

I then added a few of the gold embossed floral elements from the Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection.

This layout is feminine and floral and I love my two girls in the photo.  My process video is linked below for your viewing pleasure.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Cutie// Monochromatic Cut File Layout

Hello lovely ladies! Its Evi, and I have a gorgeous monochromatic layout to share with you, and it was inspire once again my the lovely Paige Evans. She has become someone I am inspired by a lot recently with her work. The sequins added for detail in this layout is Tropical Teal.

I started out with the butterfly cut file available by Paige Evans and cut it on white card stock. I then went through my stash to find a color I had a whole collection that would match. I decided on a heavily blue patterned paper pad from Michaels. I backed the cute file with 4 different patterned papers from it and made sure to spread the patterns around.

I backed the cut file and added fun foam to add dimension to my layout. I printed my cute photo of Valentina while shopping with me at Michaels for this layout. I have been using my corner rounder a lot recently for my photos.

Once the placement was chosen and I then went into my stash to find blue embellishment pieces that can continue to make my layout monochromatic. I added two embellishments with navy and coral flowers to the opposite corners. I didn’t want to add the coral but then when I was going through my sequins, Tropical Teals has deep aqua, light blue and coral pieces. It matched perfectly.

The final details are always my sequins. I love deciding where to place them. White splatters were added as the final touch.

Thank you so much for joining me. Till my next layout, keep scrapping.
Evi
