Smile// 12x12 Scrapbook Layout

Hello scrappy friends!  I have joined the some of my fellow YT creators in a series called "For the Love of Homemade Kits".  This series challenges us to make a kit using supplies from our stash following a recipe each month.  Each Monday, we will provide a layout using the kits we have made for the month.  I thought this was a wonderful idea to really make a dent in my extensive stash collection.  I shall link my kit video and the process video for this layout down below.

For this layout, I started off with a lovely whimsical heart cut file.  I did the offset cut in one of the floral papers from my kit that used purple tones.

I used gel medium to add areas of gold glitter to my cut files in different random areas.  I also added iridescent glitter glue to other random areas of the white cut file.  I love the look this gave the cut files while it lays on top of the offset.

For the background paper, I used the white brick patterned paper from an old Maggie Holmes collection.  Its a cream color and it really let the cut files shine on top.  Now I didn't originally choose purple embellishments, so I still stash dived to find a pack of purple flowers from HL that were in my craft room.

For my title I choose 'Smile' from a thicker collection and then picked and choose purple pieces of embellishments from the packs I choose for my homemade kit.

I was able to use one of the flair buttons on this layout too.  I had three corners of embellishment clusters for your eyes to travel around the page with ease.

The photo I am scrapping is of Valentina and I during our photo shoot for Mothers Day.  It was an adorable moment captured between the poses where I was in a deep laugh and Valentina was too.

Better Together// MH Sunny Days collections

Hello scrappy ladies!  I have a pink monochromatic layout for today using the Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection.  I picked this collection on Blitsy.com.  I fussy cut all the pink peonies out of one single patterned paper found in the pad.  I love fussy cutting at night once Valentina goes to bed.  I can watch other YouTube videos whiles I do this part.

The light pink background paper and the flourish pink boarder paper are all from the Sunny Days collections too.  Pink is one of my favorite colors anyways.

I am scrapping two fun photos taken with Snapchat filters on our faces while at the office.  Valentina never wants to smile for selfies.  lol.  When I started playing with the arrangement of the flowers, I had them horizontal, then in a diagonal, then in a wreath, I finally settled on two vertical columns.  It gave a space for the photos to be.

I popped one photo on pop dots and the other tucked underneath.  I added two pink dollies for added interest to the background.  And no layout is complete without some gold elements.  The butterfly and hearts are from the embossed gold sheet from the Sunny Days collection from Maggie Holmes.

Cherish// Using your Project Life Cards

Hey there scrappy friends!  I am continuing to use my July 2018 Scrapbookingstore.com scrapbooking kit.  The kit had Project Life cards from Studio Calico, a collection called Goldie.  The American Crafts chipboard pieces worked perfectly with this colors in this collection.

I used 4 3x4 Project Life cards and cut them into 1.5 inch squares and this grid design.  I made sure the same patterns were not next to each other and it created a really nice focal element to the page.

I usually love adding texture and color to my backgrounds but this layout came together so easily without it and i loved the look of this layout.  The background card stock was from my stash and it matched perfectly with the shades of mint I was working with in this layout.

The chipboard mandala embellishments worked to add interest to the layout and I scattered them over the square grid with Scotch Tacky glue.

The large white title 'Cherish' is from an older Amy Tangerine collection from my stash.

I added a few splatters with my gold Color Shine by Heidi Swapp and Silver as well.

The photo is of the many faces Valentina gives me while the phone snaps her photo.

Here is my process video for your viewing pleasure.

Love My Sister so much// Scrapbook Layout

Welcome back my scrapbooking friends!  I have been on a roll this week with scrapping from my stash.  I obviously have not been spending money on many supplies lately since becoming a new mom.  And I am currently not on any design teams in which I would be given new products to feature in my layouts.  I get the liberty to bust out some oldies but goodies I've purchased and hoarded this entire time.  For this layout, I was inspired by the lovely Paige Evans and a layout she did a year ago it seems.  But I am not featuring any of her products, this is all Amy Tangerine.

I first started out fussy cutting out all the florals from a patterned paper called Knot + Bow from the Better Together collection by Amy Tangerine.

I loved the contrast of this navy patterned paper called Explore from the Finders Keepers collection by Amy Tangerine.  All these beautiful papers just sitting in my crafty room.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the LOVE letters on white card stock and then took white embroidery thread and did a back stitch along the edge.  It added texture and detail to the layout.

I used two others Alpha Thickers from my stash as well to compete my title.  All were from collections from Amy Tangerine once again.

I embellished my layout with three white butterflies, a few buttons, rubber pieces and stickers from my stash on my desk.  Its time to use these beautiful products.

Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with me.  My process video is below to view.
