Hello Love// The Ink Road DT

Hello friends!  I have been on a real pink kick lately.  What can I say, its one of my favorite colors.  Just doing a cute quick selfie moment with one of my doxies, Zoe.  She is going to be 10 years old this year, I cannot believe it.  Time flies when you are having fun.  Anyways, lets get into the lovely layout.  I started out by fussy cutting out this stripes with the houses called Charming Charade from the Dear Lizzy Fine and Dandy collection found at The Ink Road.

I wanted to have layered look with 2 others papers from the collection.  The gold foiled words on the pink paper is called Fabulous Fun and the soft pink bows paper is Bright Bows.

I added details to the layout with ephemera from Hello Love and from the Shine collection.  To had more interest to the photo, i first matted it with the left over vellum from last weeks layout called Hooray and then layers multiple un used planner pages for the stacked paper look.

I always have to do a bit of mix media/ art supply fun to a layout and for this one I used the macaroon gelato to add the soft focus pink around the photo.  I smudged if with a dabber that comes with the set.  I also smudged more gelato on the wood veneer to make my title "Hello Love".

I finish off most of my layouts with black ink splatters and a roller date stamp.  I loved the way this layout turned out.  Here is my process video to watch how it came together.

Brave Beautiful Happy// The Ink Road

Today's colorful floral layout is for The Ink Road. I started off with this beautiful paper from Illustrated Faith called She Blooms. I cut 3.5 inch strips for my layout. I then used Elated from Fine and Dandy by Dear Lizzy and once inch strips of the gold foiled speciality sheet from the Felicity collection by Pink Fresh.
I then used a floral stencil from Prima along with heavy gel and applied pink loose glitter to it while it was still wet.  I used two die sets from Tim Holts for the scribble circle and the word beautiful.  The phrases Brave and Happy are from the Crate Paper Wonder collection.
I went through and added tiny word stickers from different collection like MAMBI, Kaiser Crafts and Tim Holtz.  I added a few colorful enamel dots from my collection and added the pink crepe paper embellishment from Crate Paper Hello Love collection.
The picture is of me on a near by park bench.  I am re doing my blog and it will be there.  My photographer was Miguel, my fiancé, with my new DSLR camera.  Its been fun taking higher quality photos to scrap with .  Here is my quick process video to see how it came together.

Oliver, Kobe & Zoe// The Ink Road

Today's layout is for The Ink Road.  The store has the new Pink Paislee C'est La Vie collection and I was able to play some fun products.  The patterned papers use numbers and not names, I used number 9, 11 and 4 for my layout.
I added Heidi Swapp metallic texture pastes in gold and pink with some stencils from my stash.  I cut the hexagon shapes from a patterned paper in the collection to give more interest to the layout.  I am scrapping a cute photo of my two doxies along with  my parents dog, Oliver, on Zoe's birthday.  We managed to have them all look our way for a brief moment and captured this picture.
So in honor of all three dogs, the title is all three of their names in a cross word puzzle kind of arrangement.  I worked perfectly using the Pink Paislee Gold Dipped Chipboard alphas.  I went around the letters with a thin sharpie pen to have them stand out more.

I also used the acetate numbers from the ephemera pack from the C'est La Vie collection. I completed the layout with some light journaling on one of the hexagons and matted my photo on pink card stock.  I have my process video below for your viewing pleasure.

Hello//The Ink Road

Hello crafty ladies!  My layout today is for The Ink Road.  I am using the Kaiser Crafts My Year, My Story collection.  The collection kit comes with two sheets of each patterned paper along with a 12x12 sticker sheet.  This collection is unique, it seems geared towards pocket page scrapbooking because all the papers are cut aparts.  Each paper is also monochromatic, so naturally I gravitate towards pinks.
I started off with the Rhasberry sheet and up it apart and adhered it towards in the middle.  I added clear gesso to provide some grit to my page for some mists.  I used Shimmerz mists in Cotton Candy and Sweet Heart with the packaging technique.  Once that part dried, I then did some stenciling with Dazzlers texture paste in Pucker up Pink and the Pixelated stencil from Americana.
I allowed all these mediums to dry before continuing on.  I matted my photo of my mom and me backstage with the dancers from Kinky boots.  The doodle like ephemera is also from the My Year, my Story die cut pack.
To add a bit more interest to the layout, I hot glued hot pink ribbon and a sheer pink one vertically to the page.  It simply added more pink and texture to the layout.  I did some light journaling and some India ink splatters to finish the layout.  It came together rather easy when you stick to one color.
