Lovely Family// Clique Kit DT

Hello my scrapbook friends! How is everyone doing this month.  I am so thankful I was able to scrap before Hurricane Irma hit me here in Florida. It has been a stressful week and lack of power for three days.  I will never take for granted having power again. I am 29 weeks pregnant and it was difficult but I managed to stay strong.  I am using the Sundance September 2017 for this layout featuring the Creekside collection by American Crafts.

I started off with this gorgeous patterned paper named Gathering Flowers.  I did not want to cover too much of this paper up, nor did i want to fuzzy cut it out.  My next best idea was to cut out a large word and mat it white for the contrast.  My title became 'Family' a free cut file from Paper Issues.

I added some coral, beige and yellow mists along the center of my white card stock using the packaging technique.  These colors are enhanced due to my patterned paper.

I scrapped a photo of my family during my brother in laws surprise birthday party.  I printed it in black and white to not compete with the layout.

I ripped the paper above the flower design and the rest stayed white to balance the layout.   I added a few flower outline cut files for added embellishments and used the puffy stickers and tiny word stickers that were available in the kit.

Love the way this layout turned out.  Below is my process video to see it come together.

Washi Tape Challenge// Clique Kit DT

Hello Scrappy Friends! Its been an interesting day for me here in South Florida and having Hurricane Irma approaching soon.  We left yesterday to the west coast to avoid the direct hit to the east coast that was initially predicted and then the storm shifter course.  And now, it is approaching the west coast, so we left the west coast and drove back home to the east coast.  What an interesting 24 hours.  I'm 28 pregnant and we are just trying to keep my anxiety down and calm.

The challenge for this month is to use washi tape in a creative way.  I am using the washi tape that is featured in this months Sundance September kit.  Its a red and black buffalo plaid.

I have recreated this sort of layout in the past with the branding stripes of patterned papers.  So I used different thicknesses of the washi tape on a diagonal to create a plaid design.

I then used a cut file  for the circle background using the backside of the cut part patterned paper.  I love the contrast of the red and black with the hunter green color.  These are not normal colors I would use, so i wanted to make sure I used a cute photo of my boy Doxie to go with the masculine color scheme.

I then started selecting items in different containers on my desk.  Older pieces from different collections that simply worked with the layout.

The 'Awesome' part of my title are the puffy stickers from the Fancy Pants Dream Big collection that is also included her in this months kit.  The kraft alphas are from my stash as well.  Please play along on The Clique FB group with your use of washi tape so that we can inspire one another.

Dream Big// Clique Kits DT

Hello scrappy friends!  I have a 9x12 mixed media scrapbook layout for you.  I am using the Fancy Pants Dream Big collection featured in this months Clique Kit.  It has a dominant fall outdoor theme, and I live in Florida where its never fall, so I am challenged to use this kit for brighter lighter moments.  My sister was recently down from NJ and we always take tons of photos together, especially when I am 6+ months pregnant.

I started off with cutting off 3 inches of this 12x12 patterned paper to fit into my album.  This paper was named Field of Fancy.  I started off with applying gesso in a vertical position to dull down the background.  I then used the "packaging technique" to apply mists, Lindy Stamp Gang in Mad Matter Mint and Shimmerz Mists in Egg Noggin.

Using my ATG gun, I added 2 rows of crepe paper ruffles in a vertical position too.  For added detail, I also added a mint green sheer ribbon in the center as well.  This is where I positioned my photos over it.

I did a large embellishment cluster on the left side of my photos, included pieces from the Creekside collection and puffy stickers from Dream Big: Fancy Pants.  A few flair buttons in my stash add more interest and then I added enamel dots with gold texture gems from Faber Castel and Nuvo Dots in Banana Split.  Some light journaling finished off my layout.

Thank you for stopping by and linked below is my process video.

Mermaid Hair Dont Care// Clique Kits DT Instagram Share

Hello fellow memory keepers! Its our monthly Instagram share where we post our latest projects using that months kit.  You are able to hop along and find tons of amazing inspiration.  I love the Summer Lights collection by Pink Paislee that is featured in the August 2017 Clique Kit.  My sister recently came to visit and I have tons of photos to scrap.  She lives on the beach everyday when she is down from NJ, so its truly the only time I go to the beach.  I prefer to be poolside.  lol.

I started out with cutting the Palm Trees out on my Cameo, (file from Silhouette Design Store) on white AC card stock.  Then I surveyed all the patterned papers peaking through and this pink ombre striped paper won.

I did a little bit of mixed media with some Shimmerz mists in Egg Noggin, Color Shine mist in Gold and Dylusions mist in Sunshine.  I used the lighter yellow and gold around the palm trees and did an orange sunburst behind my photo.  A little messy, but most gets covered up anyways.  The joy of mixed media.

Then I took out the ephemera pack, the sequins, the flair buttons and glass sea shells bits from the kits and do a fun cluster of embellishments around the photo.  The holographic alphas from the kits are amazing, so I have to make another word on the page to use some again.

I added some light journalling to remember the moment and that finishes this 12x12 layout.  Process video for your enjoyment.

Amazing Right Now// Clique Kits DT

Hello lovely scrapbook ladies!  Thank you for joining me for Sunday School blog post.  I am playing with the April 2017 Jelly Bean Scrapbook Kit.  I am scrapping two smaller photos of me and my Doxie, Kobe on a walk recently.  I started out with cutting out the flowers of the Bella Blvd Make Your Mark, Magnifique.  These flowers are large and colorful which is totally my style.

Once I gessoed my card stock, I did the packaging technique with Mint colored mists and yellow.  I then used the current flower cut file, available under the Varsity Team, and cut it on pink card stock for an added layering effect under the flowers.

I used black embossing on the wood veneer from Fancy Pants and made my title "Right Now" pop off the colors of my layout.  I then added one of the words from the Freckled Fawn pack, 'Amazing' above my title.  The black pops off of both against the colors of my background.

I then started adding elements from the ephemera pack from Bella Blvd.  I love the flair in the kit, and decided on the yellow 'She's Crafty' flair and nested it on yellow thread.  I also used the yellow swan exclusive piece in my cluster in the lower right area.  Enamel dots from Freckled Fawn were added for color and contrast.  All pieces are available in the April kit.

Thank you for joining me for todays post.  I hope you have had an amazing weekend.  ~Evi

Love This Story// Clique Kits Blog Hop

Whats up Scrappy Peeps!!!  Welcome to the Clique Kits design team blog hop, introducing the new members.  Yours truly is thrilled to be included on this wonderful creative team.  I love the products that are included each month in the scrapbooking kits.  This month is also special because we have teamed up with Ashley Hortons's Cut Shoppe and get to play with cut files.  I hope you are enjoying all the inspiration along the way.  You have just hoped over from the very talented .  I have been a fan girl to her work for years.

I started off with the cut file called Flower Power from the Cut Shoppe.  I then grabbed Maggie Holmes Bloom collection from my stash.  I cut the corners off of Sun Lit and adhered it to the blue paper with white flowers.

I then used mists: Lindy Stamp Gang Mad Hatter Mint, Shimmerz Vibez in Egg Noggin and Sweet Heart.  I concentrated the color at the two opposite corners to lay over the added corners of paper.

I used my finalizer with Scotch Quick dry to adhere the cut file.  I then added my photo with photo corners and added my journaling with a slick writer pen.  I used stickers from the Shine collection by Maggie Holmes and chipboard elements from Dear Lizzy.

The title is from Dear Lizzy Seredipity collection and added a few gold heart sequins from the Spiegelmom Scraps store.  I love the pastel colors used in this layout and I love the cut file.  I am pleased with the outcome of this layout.  Next along the blog hop is Sheryl Banares.  If you'd like to make a purchase at the Clique Kits store use code Evi10 for a discount.  Thank you for joining me.

Hello//The Ink Road

Hello crafty ladies!  My layout today is for The Ink Road.  I am using the Kaiser Crafts My Year, My Story collection.  The collection kit comes with two sheets of each patterned paper along with a 12x12 sticker sheet.  This collection is unique, it seems geared towards pocket page scrapbooking because all the papers are cut aparts.  Each paper is also monochromatic, so naturally I gravitate towards pinks.
I started off with the Rhasberry sheet and up it apart and adhered it towards in the middle.  I added clear gesso to provide some grit to my page for some mists.  I used Shimmerz mists in Cotton Candy and Sweet Heart with the packaging technique.  Once that part dried, I then did some stenciling with Dazzlers texture paste in Pucker up Pink and the Pixelated stencil from Americana.
I allowed all these mediums to dry before continuing on.  I matted my photo of my mom and me backstage with the dancers from Kinky boots.  The doodle like ephemera is also from the My Year, my Story die cut pack.
To add a bit more interest to the layout, I hot glued hot pink ribbon and a sheer pink one vertically to the page.  It simply added more pink and texture to the layout.  I did some light journaling and some India ink splatters to finish the layout.  It came together rather easy when you stick to one color.
