Quarantine// Scrapbook Layout

Hello my scrapbook friends!  How is everyone doing during this Quarantine time in our lives.  I trust everyone is healthy and safe.  I used this large cut file from Paige Evans on lavender card stock.

The patterned paper is from a paper pad from Michaels 'Hot Buys' called Fabulousness.  Its colors include purples, magenta, pink and orange.  I think these colors are amazing together.

The photo is of Valentina and I in my craft room painting and stuff and I quickly took a selfie of us.  We've been hanging out in our comfy jimmies everyday too.

The flowers were cut out of patterned paper in the pad and i used a circle punch for the other embellishment featured.

Finished off with gold color shine from Heidi Swapp and a few gold hearts scattered around.

Choose Happy// TN layout// Traci Reed collection

Hello scrappin ladies!  I have been loving working in my traveler's notebook lately.  It used to be stapled together, however it was struggling to stay together.  So I have now taken it apart and put it on rings.   I now understand why other scrappers do this technique.  lol.  I am scrapping the photo of making Traci Reed's design team at the beginning of the year.  It is always an honor to help small business thrive.

This layout I love because of the dimensional elements.  I used a small heart punch and cut out multiple ones from all the different patterned papers in the collection.  To get the dimensional elements they are laced with some bakers twine and anchored to the page.

I alternated left and right hold punches on the hearts so they would lay balanced. I love the way it turned out.

All papers used are from Traci Reeds 'Keep Chasing Rainbows' collection, available as digital product that I sent out to be printed.

Happy Day// 12x12 Scrapbook Layout

Hello my scrapping ladies! I completed this gorgeous layout with a photo of Miguel and Valentina last year at Easter.  Time sure does fly by.

I started out with a large butterfly cut file from Paige Evans cut from light purple card stock.  I backed the cut file with patterned paper from the Jane Davenport paper collection, available at Michaels.  The paper already has mixed media markings and coloring so it worked perfectly for being backed for this cut file.

I had white card stock butterfly cut out already sitting on my desk from a layout I never did.  So, I decided to have them work as the embellishment for this layout by using some purple toned spray in my collection. I love the extra splatter marks and mixed media areas it added to this layout.

For added embellishments, I used butterfly epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio.  I love this less dimensional flairs to my layout.  It does not add a lot of bulk to my layouts.

My photo is triple matted.  One pink glitter frame from Maggie Holmes, one card stock frame with tones of purple and a ruffled purple ribbon for the third layer.  The ribbon ruffle is my favorite element on this layout.  The ribbon just happen to be sitting on my craft desk and it worked perfectly when I was working on this layout.  It was serendipity.

Top 10 Layouts for 2019

Hello my scrappy friends! Thank you for visiting me once again.  I thought it would be fun to take a look at my favorite layouts for 2019.  I was able to scrap much more this year as a new mom to a 2 year old than I did that first year.  Its important to find time for self care and that is what scrapbooking is too me.  These are in no particular order, just my favorites for the year.

Family// Scrapbook Layout

Hello scrappy ladies!  Welcome back to my little corner of the internet.  Sorry I have been missing.  I am officially a full time working mom to an almost 2 year old and life is busy.  I'm sure many can relate to me.  Finding time to scrap these days is hard.  After work, I try to take Valentina to the park to release some energy, I cook when we get home, then its bath time, story time and bed time.  Afterwards, I shower the day away and veg out for an hour before I'm sleeping.  Then on the weekends, its filled with park, museums, birthday parties, family gatherings, swimming and chores.  So my scrapping is minimal lately due to time.

But, I was able to get some time this weekend to do this lovely layout.  Love how it turned out using a cut file from Paige Evans and sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps.

I cut the file on a rose colored solid card stock from my stash and found sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps that matched accordingly.  I love all the details this cut file provides.  I detailed the cut file with the sequins.  This part took some time,  please do not rush this part.  The payoff is worth it.

I am scrapping a photo of my family at a wedding we attending in Chicago.  It was first time there and I am in love with Chicago.  Valentina was one of the flower girls in the wedding.  She was nine months at the time.

To embellish the rest of the layout, I turned to my collection of florals from Maggie Holmes that live on my desk.

For more detail to my layout, I added Nuvo gel dots in gold, raspberry and iridescent glitter.  These added details allow to see all the details of the cut file.

For my title, I simply choose 'Family' in a gold metallic finish beside my photo.  Love how this layout turned out.

Good Times// ScrapbookingStore.com Design Team

Hello scrapping ladies!  Its been a busy summer at the office and I have not found a lot of time to scrap at night.  But, I did find time to complete this summery layout this past weekend.  I am using the July scrapbooking kit from Scrapbookingstore.com.  I am part of their design team and love playing with their products.

The kit features the Paradise Escape collection from BoBunny and I absolutely love the colors in this collection.  Its pastel and summery.  I first used a TCW stencil called Bursting Jewels with 3D gel from Finnabar and sprinkled iridescent glitter on top while it was still wet.  Let that part dry fully before moving on.

The effect this gave the background is amazing.  I love the texture, the sparkle and it twinkles in the light.  A real lovely effect, if you dare to give it a try.

I used a 2 inch circle punch to cut from 6 different patterned papers.  I tried to use mostly the blue patterned papers to have them all match.  I am still scraping photos from my Mothers Day Photo Shoot and my dress is also blue so it all corresponded.

Then it is time to embellish the circles.  I used the empherma pack from the collection and stickers from a Jen Hadfield collection that were also included in the kit.  Each circle received at least two pieces of embellishments.  I used alpha from my stash for the small titles across a few of the circles.  I have linked my process video below for your viewing pleasure.  Thanks for spending some time with me.
