Family// Pretty Patterned Paper Playground Series

Hello Scrappy friends! Today's layout is for our Pretty Patterned Paper Playground series.  Katty and I usually take over each others YouTube channels for our process videos.  My layout is rather simple but I still used some mixed media as I usually do.

I first started off with a stencil from Americana called Segmented Circles along with Liquitex Black Lava medium.  I hauled the Black Lava product a few weeks ago from Blitsy and I've played with it a few times.  I find it to simply be gel medium with black glitter in it.  I like the contrast of it on the white card stock.

I then used my Silhouette Cameo and used a layered Poinsettia cut file that I cut twice, once on red glitter paper and again on red and white snowflake paper.  I alternated the papers to make the poinsettia interesting.  I added a gold enemal dot to the centers and arranged three on each side of the photo for balance.

My title is from Pebbles from a Jen Hadfield collection I hauled from Tuesday Morning.  I matteed my photo on gold paper to have it pop. The photo I am scrapping is once again from my sisters trip to Florida and my dad hoped into this one.  I kept the photo black and white in order to keep all the elements of color on the layout.

My last detail were in adding Nuvo Crystal drops in Bright Gold and Golden Sunset all around the photo and flowers.  It adds tiny details while you look at this layout.
Thank you for joining us.  Here is my short process video.

Happy Holidays// Spiegelmom Scraps DT

Hello Scrappy Peeps! Welcome back for another wintery inspired layout for the holiday season. I have tons of pictures to scrap from my sisters visit to Florida this year.  We are twinning in matching T-shirts.  I used the snowflakes from the free cut file from the Spiegelmom Scraps blog for this layout.  I took the time to heat emboss some with white and opal powders.

My background patterned paper is from American Crafts Deck the Halls and its called Advent Calendar.  The back of this paper had all the numbers but I wanted to use this gray side with white snowflakes.  I gessoed my page in a diagonal and used mint and light blue sprays in my collections, Mad Hatter Mint from Lindy Stamp gang and Jeni B Bleu from Shimmerz.

A few large silver snowflakes were added to the embellishments and they are from the Dollar store.  The diagonal arrangement of all the snowflakes has a lovely impact for the layout.

I added my journaling on a white tag and layered tangled thread in white, gray and aqua for more interest.

And a layout for me is not complete these days without adding sequins.  These stars, red and green ones are from the Holly Jolly collection from the Spiegelmom Scraps.  Process video is in editing.

Sparkle// Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Its the most wonderful time of the year.  I simply love the holiday season because my sister always comes for a visit and family time is priceless.  This holiday season we managed to surprise my mom with Lianna's visit.  Best gift we could have arranged.  Winter times also means Starbucks famous red cups.  This year I saved 3 of them in hopes of creating a layout with them.  I even kept the Starbucks logo and my drink order sticker on the circles.

I used 3 different sized circle punches, 2", 1.5" and a 1".  I loved all the doodle marks and illustration on this years cups.  I made sure to keep a lot of the drawing visible.

I gessoed the middle section and used my mint green colored mist in my collection, Mad Hatter Mint from Lindy Stamp gang, Cracked Pistachio from Distress Stains and Mint Color Shine.  I even added some splatter marks.

To have a bit more contrast I used some black and white patterned circles from my scraps.  I tucked them behind some of the red and I pulled more mint green colors as well.  Since there was color with all my embellishments I printed my lovely photos of my sister and I kissing my mom is black and white.  I did some light journaling below my photo to complete my layout.  Process video linked below.

Happy// Pretty Patterned Paper Playground Series

Hello Scrappy Peeps!  Fall is in the air and Katty and I have another installment of our Pretty Patterned Paper Playground series.  We get inspiration from our mood board each month and this time it had burnt oranges, olive greens, dusty blues and rich golds.  Katty always does an excellent job with the mood board tiles.

Miguel and I recently went to a 90s R&B concert and this was a quick selfie I took of us.  For this layout I started off with the butterfly background die cut from the Silhoutte Design Store cut on a mid tone blue card stock from my stash.  It was difficult to get this off the cutting mat as you can imagine with all the detail cuts.

I also cut out the 3D butterflies from the Design Store as well.  I used an old Shimelle patterned paper from Star Shine collection.  The deep cinnamon tone orange worked well with our mood board.  These larger contrasting butterflies made the layout special.

I added detail with inexpensive acrylic pain to the butterflies and leaves.  I added orange and green sequins for added interest to my background.  Once that was done, I really did not need much for embellishments.  I choose a chunky gold thicker phrase from my stash for my simple title, 'Happy'.

My process video it on Katty's channel.  I've linked it below for your viewing pleasure.

Hello Scrappy Peeps!  Welcome back for another bright and bold layout using my Dylusion sprays and paints.  I cannot get enough of them.  These products are truly some of my favorites.  I am scrapping a picture of me in some bright, bold and colorful leggings from LuLaRoe.  I love these buttery soft leggings and have recently become a consultant.  Super fun and excited about this new adventure of mine.

I started off with this black and white checkered paper from Maggie Holmes Gather collection called Favorite.  I cut it on the diagonal and use it to anchor both corners of my layout.

I cut these large flowers from the Silhouette Design Store on white card stock by American Crafts.  The Dylusion Spray inks in Bubblegum pink, Squeezed Orange, Postbox Red, Crushed Grape, London Blue, Fresh Lime and Vibrant Turquoise were all used for the flowers and leaves.  I am trying to recreate the leggings I am wearing in the picture.

I painted the yellow area with Dylusion acrylic paint in Lemon Zest.  It is a bright yellow which is exactly the look I was going for.  I scattered the flowers along with diagonal and over lapped them a bit.

My title is LuLa Love using thicker in my stash.  I am a consultant for LuLaRoe and if you would like to shop my VIP page join me on my Facebook Group at LuLaRoe Taina Cortes VIPs.  Follow me on Instagram @lularoetainacortes.  Thank you for joining me and here is my process video below for your viewing pleasure.

Beautiful Moments// Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Hello scrappy peeps!! Welcome back to my blog for a bright layout beginning on colored card stock.  I need to do more layouts on colored card stock.  It turned out great and I love the white contrast from the bright blue.  I am still in the middle of scrapping photos of me and my sister during her recent trip to Florida.

I used Spun Sugar Dazzler texture paste from Shimmerz through my 6x6 'Art Is' stencil from the Crafters workshop first.  Once dried I layers ribbon, dollies, wrapping paper and crepe paper ruffles for a lot of texture and interest.

I added Wedding Bells sequins from the Spiegelmom Scraps shops for the contrast of white to my layout.

I sprayed Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Navy and Peacock onto the word 'beautiful' for the title and used the aqua Fitzgerald font for the word 'Moments'.  I added a piece of flair from Feed Your Craft with a nest of white tangled thread behind it.

I Love Today// Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

I simply love mixed media for my scrapbook layouts.  There is something about making each page my own and this is one of those moments.  I love experimenting with different art supplies and applying new techniques to see if it works.  Another lovely picture of my sister and I during her vacation here in Florida.  We are not twins but we sure do look a lot alike.

MAMBI has folded wrapping paper booklets available at The Ink Road that I ripped into three stripes from different patterned papers.  I adhered them with collage medium from Ranger.  I painted the edges with light blue, mints, greens and some pink.

I then used heavy gloss gel through a Dylusion stencil for the flowers and applied loose glitter on top of the get before it dried.  This part may have been a little too much for the layout but hind sight is always 20/20.

The white flourishes are from Wilna's blog that I cut on white card stock.  I love the black phrase of the title to contrast against the busy layout.  The "I love today" is from Amy Tangerines, Better Together collection.  I added a flair from Feed Your Craft and finished my layout with black India ink.  My process video is below for you to view.

Best Mom// Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Hello Scrappy Peeps!!  A fun cheerful layout for you using the Fancy Pants Minnie and June collection again.  I love scrapping photos of my mom and I, and this one is no different.  I used a lot of my scrap pieces of collection for this layout.

I layered them vertically and horizontal and it created an area of intersection where my photo would rest.  I applied clear gesso in order to add some mixed media from my pink tone mists.

I added the empherma pieces from the same collection and added some elements from Maggie Holmes Bloom collection including some washi stripes and the 3D flowers.  I gold heat embossed butterfly wood veneer for a pop of gold and added come splatters to finish this layout.  I added a bit of journaling and added a few gold heart sequins for added detail.

Best Ever// Spiegelmom Scraps DT

Hello my wonderful scrapbook friends! Today's layout is for the Spiegelmom Scraps shop.  She offers a large variety of gorgeous sequins and other embellishments.  On this layout I am featuring Autumn Joys sequins.  I am scrapping two identical photo stripes of  my mom and I acting silly.

I started off with light pinky/beige card stock and adhered stripes of text from a book with Dina Wakely Gel Medium.  Color Shine splatters were then added in Peach, Coral and Gold for added interest to the background.  My title was going to be this huge wood veneer piece I had from Heidi Swapp.  So I gold heat embossed it first to have it be the pop factor on my page.

I then decided on the placement of the wood veneer and drew a circle with pencil.  I adhered the Autumn Joy sequins in this area.  I wanted the sequins to pop from behind the wood veneer.  And for more impact I added alternating colors around the other edge of the circle.  This really makes the focal point special on this layout.

I finished off the layout with a few floral die cuts from the Wildflowers collection from WRMK, coral tangled thread and sheer cream bows at the top and bottom of the photo stripes.  Scrapping pictures of my mom and me never gets old.  Remember to use Evi15 at checkout for a discount on your purchases.

Beautiful Sisters// SpiegelMom Scraps DT

Hello scrappy ladies!!  Welcome to the Labor Day Weekend Triple Hop.  We have amazing guest designers for this weekend hop featuring new embellishment products available at the shop.  The sequins at the Spiegelmom Scraps are all gorgeous and adding them to your layouts will add a bit of shine and sparkle.  I am featuring the new release pack Mocha Mint Dream.  The colors determined the colors used in my background.

I started out with a stencil from Dylusions called Dotted Flowers and used Heavy Gloss Gel from Golden.  This process takes a time to dry.  Sweet Mint, Robin's Egg Blue, light pink, vanilla and peach are the acyrlic paint colors I added for the background.

I have a black and white paper pad from MAMBI that I used to cut out the large letters for the word 'Sisters' and the 'Beautiful' was fuzzy cut out of a paper from the pad as well.  To add more black and white contrast I matted the layout on a patterned paper from Studio Calico from the Amelia collection.

I matted my photo with the gorgeous sequins from the Mocha Mint Dream pack.  I randomly went around with Tomboy Mono Liquid glue, making sure two of the same were never together.  Then, I randomly placed more sequins around the top half of the layout.

The photo I am scrapping is of my sister and I blowing bubblegum perfectly times to snap a photo.  I am shorter then her and you can clearly see that in the photo.  The layout turned out beautiful and I am so happy with it.  Here is my process video to watch.

Better Together// SpiegelMom Scraps DT

Hello ladies! Welcome back to another fun and inspiration blog hop for the Spiegelmom Scraps Shop.  You previously visited my girl and partner in crime, Katty Miranda.  Her and I live close together so we scrap together.  The sequins available at the SpielgelMom Scraps shop are simply gorgeous and I played with three different sets for this colorful layout.  The photo I am scrapping is of my sister and I during her recent visit.  We were in Fort Lauderdale Beach and came across this pillar with our last name on it and thought it was a perfect photo moment.  But our last name is spelled with an "s" and not a "z".

I used Hugs & Kisses from the Better Together collection from Amy Tangerine for this layout.  I used my Cameo to cut out multiple sized hearts.  The opposite side of the rainbow XOXO is the green paper color.  I outlines one green heart with Spring Greens sequins and used fun foam to pop up the patterned heart.  Then I outlines the patterned heart with the yellow sequin from A Day in the Woods sequins.

I then decided to outline the largest heart with Gold Sweetheart Confetti Sequins along the outside and the blue ones from Raspberry Daisy Dream on the inside. Love the look of it with the sequins.

I wanted to add more interest to the background.  I used my Heidi Swapp Stencil in Repeating Hearts and used my Spun Sugar Dazzlers from Shimmerz through the stencil.

Adding a few paint splatters always finishes off one of my layouts.  I used the thickers from the collection for the title "Better Together".  Hope your enjoying this weekends blog hop.  Your next stop is Felicia Young.  My process video below for you to watch.
